Extraordinaire, ce volume que nous ne nous lassons pas d'écouter en famille depuis que notre fils se le passe en boucle, dans son auto-apprentissage d'Eté du piano.
Avec de belles découvertes en perspective, telles que Anton Diabelli, Daniel Frederik Kuhlau ou Dimitri Kabalevski, que je ne connaissais pas ; avec une mention particulière pour ce dernier, dans l'espoir que mon fils s'attaquera bientôt à la valse lente, dont je trouve que le morceau a beaucoup d'allure (magnifique harmonie de graves et d'aigus).

De très beaux morceaux de compositeurs connus également, comme le Rondo de Ludwig van Beethoven (Sonatine en Fa majeur) ou le prélude de Johann Sebastian Bach. Ajoutons-y des morceaux originaux et plaisants au rythme irrégulier, à l'image de la parade de Bruno Rossignol ou « Eh ! c'est de Cracovie que je viens » de Witold Lutoslawski.
Et des morceaux que mon fils sait d'ores et déjà jouer, comme le très agréable « Tambourin » de Lazare Lévy ou « Le petit nègre » de Debussy (pour ce dernier, voir mon commentaire de la partition à part entière de ce morceau).
Un volume vraiment très complet et diversifié. Trente-six compositions courtes au total. Pour débutants, certes, mais de très bonne facture.

Un seul regret : l'absence dans cette partition de la « Rondo-Toccata op.60 n°4 » de Kabalevski, qui est pourtant présente à la fois sur le CD et dans l'autre partition en vente sur cette même page d'Amazon à un prix moins élevé (alors qu'à première vue, cela semblait être la même chose). Mon fils enrage, car c'est justement ce morceau qu'il rêvait de jouer.
